    Mitsubishi Meldas L1

Hey guys, how you all doing?
Well, I have a problem. I have the program saved to the memory of the machine, but I cant run the machine? I try to switch the "mode" to memory and hit "start" but the machine wont turn?
    Any ideas?
The memory is already loaded with the program, just need to run the machine?
    Thanks All!

sounds like you are missing a condition, maybe feedrate over ride over 100%? or not zero returned? did you search up the program first?

    is this the atm4ndx?

Does the start light stay lit? and you have to press Reset, or does it light momentarily and then go off?

Hey guys, thanks for the repsonses. I am BRAND new to this machine. I am actually a sales guys trying to work on this machine that no body has seen before.
I got as far as loading the program on the machine (which was awful).

Kevins,I do not know if thr feedrate is over 100%? any way to check? Condition??
    Haha im sorry guys!

Al, the start light on the stays lit then blanks when I hit reset. I hit the "start" button and nothing happens.

I have the program in the machine and I hit the "edit" function. Then I go over to the mode module and put the "mode" in "Mem". Then I hit the "start" button. Nothing Happens.

Do, I have to search in "edit" mode then put it in "mem" then click start?

Thanks guys. The responses are awsome.

go into memory mode first then do a search, at that point if everything is good hit cycle start, if everything good it should go.

after you hit cycle start and the light comes on take a look at the bottom of your screen, what messages are there?
also look on the alarm screen too, any messages there?
it sounds like you have a missing condition that it is waiting for.

I put the mode into "mem" then I search for my file. I find my file then hit "Cycle Start" The light illuminates and stays on.
No error messages come on and the alarm does not turn on. The "Cycle Start" light stays on and nothing happens. Its like the machine freezes.

If you can explain this condition, I can add it and see what happens.

    Thank you Kevins

To elaborate on the program, what do you need to know?

As a part of the program, I have:

    %
    (PROGRAM NAME - LEGS,2)
    (DATE=DD-MM-YY - 15-01-08 TIME=HH:MM - 10:52)
    (MCX FILE - C:\MCAMX\MCX\LEGS,2.NC)
    (NC FILE - C:\MCAMXC\LATHE\NC\LEGS,2.NC)
    (MATERIAL - STEEL INCH - 1030 - 200 BHN)
    G20
    (TOOL - 1 OFFSET - 1)
    (OD ROUGH RIGHT - 80 DEG. INSERT - CNMG-432)
    G0 T0101
    G97 S 177 M03
    G0 G54 X4.3182 Z.2
    G50 S1500
    G96 600
    G99 G1 Z.1 F.01
    Z-13.99
    X4.4375
    G3 X4.52 Z-14.0313 R.0412
    G1 Z-14.4857
    X4.6614 Z-14.415
    G0 Z.2

Then it goes on and on. If you need more numbers just ask. Thanks for the help guys.

Have you tried any MDI commands, such as turn coolant on/off etc, M8 M9 etcand see if it processes them?
If the cycle start light and it hangs it is waiting for some condition.

i think the comments in brackets are what is confusing it, take those out and just try some basic g commands to see what happens.

    Gotcha!

I just tried it and I got the error P13 which means G Command Error. I need to correct the G Command? Is that a block character that needs to be fixed?

The "cycle start" light stays illuminated and it is waiting for a condition. What condition should i use?
    Thanks guys

Alright, I put it in "MDI" mode and hit "edit."
Typed in S100 and M03 then hit start.
Nothing happened. I think the machine is messed up.

Yes sir I did. Retruned the machine to zero and also closed the spindle.
Everything was fine. The machine just doesnt run. I think there is an internal problem. I will try running the program again without the brackets and see what happens.
Ill keep trying to run the spindle.
    Thanks Kevins

    Ive tried everything.
Is there any other specific way to zero out the tool? Ive zero positioned it by hitting the coordinate buttons and watched the "zero position" buttons illuminate.

Everything before the start of the machine is fine. "Zero position," "closed spindle," parameters are okay, everything.
    The program is legitamite.
The machine seems out of sync.

Any other methods I can try?

    Thanks>!
