    Mach3 gear cutting

Hi, I see that Mach3 has a wizard for gear cutting by rotating the part and milling the edge. But I was looking for a wizard that would mill an involute gear out of a stationary, flat-mounted plate. thanks! alan

It may not be a wizard, but some of the online gear places have cad drawing of what they sell. You should be able to find what you need there and just cam it and run with them that way. May not work so well if you have a lot of different sizes.

Lee, it seems every gear I would ever need is available via a downloadable CAD. what a great suggestion, thanks again, Alan

Online Cad drawings can be your friend. I have used quite a few of different types. Really saved some time drawing them myself.
