Is it still worthwhile to go to Eastec?

What I mean is, is it still worthwhile for the small time inventor, metal worker, etc. I used to go years ago but as the manufacturing doldrums in the northeast continued on, it was less inspiring each year. Have you been lately and if so do you still find it interesting and entertaining enough to make the effort?

If you want to go to the greatest show in the U.S. go to IMTS in Chicago. Hands down what you are looking for is there. 3 monster buildings and more than you can see in 2 days walking (without stopping at any booth). Every major mfg that is worth a dime is there. I try to get to the event every time it is here 2008 then 2010. It is in Sept and get a pass ahead of time because you dont have time to stand in line. Go to Chicago just Go.
