    I was in Texas on service (850sx) and had exactly the same problem, only with Mastercam.I have a copy of a file transfer program that works if you want it.

    I spent at least a full day on this problem and finally gave up.

    If you want it I will be glad to email it to you. It saved me.

    Good Luck

    If I remember (10 yrs ago) either the machine used 8 data bits while the PC had 7, or the other way around. Try them mismatched like that.

    Same Problem Here;

    Hello All;

    I am new to this site and so far see its great. I have been in the CNC programming/operating industry for the last 12 years and worked on many stiles of controlles but I must say I met one that drives me up the wall. We just bought a used Sabre 1000 and while waiting for the manual to come in that we purchased off the net i am trying to perform some simple tasks and somewhat got the control and machine figgured out but having the same problem as john with the upload of the program. Using a dos based software download is great but get a error on upload. any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you;
    Peter.

    This is what I use for the pc side
    baud=2400
    Parity=none
    Stop Bits=2

    On the control

    Stop Bits=1

    use a standard null modem cable, I use the same one I use on Fanuc

    If you want a nice transfer program get in touch and I will send the one I use

    See I tried all different settings today again and its killing me. I got the machine used and have several different settings in the machine but the machine just sits there till it times out. Machine to comp is no problem so for now I just had to do the dirty work of manually inputting the data. On the up side i am getting pretty creative with sub programs. If you would not mind sending me a copy of your program that would be great. my email is [email protected].

    Thanks in advance.

    I am going to give it another go tomorrow because knowing me I will not be able to sleep at night till i get this.
