For me, the limit is the dimension of my machine. I've used 1/8" and 3/8" ply with success. The worst for cutting is hardboard but after cleanup it's not too bad I guess.

I have only just managed to get my CNC working after moving house.

But I have to get this Liopleurodon designed for my 3 year old's birthday in a few weeks time. Plus the train finished for his friends birthday.

    Square gears.

As a kid one of the coolest exhibit for me at Chicago's Science and Industry museum was the mechanical motion displays. Back ad forth, up and down, around and around, and SQUARE GEARS??!!! Impossible, gears are round, but turn the crank and these square gears mesh and turn.

    Anyone have a dxf?

    Cool I did it!

    Hello everybody:wave:

thanks for sharing all this pieces of art,

It was very helpful to me and very special too, is very enjoyable to keep cutting this kind of 3D puzzles!!

and the most important, the children love it! jeje

There is a RAPTOR that I made of high density MDF sold in Walmart, is almost 1.2 m wide x 0.8 m high

The material in walmart measures 30 x 40 cms and is 0.303" thick, and as a note.... is very cheap! (is in the part of notebooks, paper and that kind of stuff)

I cut the dino it in my DIY cnc machine made from scrap, her name is "LULU", and she has 30 x 40 cms of cutting area, I love the way it works!

to make this dino it took 3 sheets of MDF bought in walmart

thanks to all, and please revive this thread!! :rainfro:

    Regards from MEXICO!

    Tony

P.D. (sorry for the bad quality of pictures jeje)

    smartyarty53:
Thank you very much for uploading the angel fish and the Cessna (this last show I can not believe that the file is corrupted. Could you reuploaded).
    Since already many thanks.

    Another little thing:
    Anyone have the brachiosaurus dxf?

    Spinosaurus: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2PU0REQ1

Soon I'll upload the dxf of Parasaurolophus.
