    Weld Brass to Brass

    Is it possible to weld brass to brass and how? Thanks in advance.

    It is possible to weld brass to brass with bronze filler rod but you had better spend a while practising; the melting point for the filler is very close to that for the brass.

    Use Braze 450 for brass to brass joints; this is a form of silver solder. Just Goofgle 'Braze 450' for more information, do it on the web or a local search here on the zone.

    Yes it is possible to weld brass to brass, some time ago I welded up a bunch of 1/2" brass plates to make some wear plates on a extendo boom forklift that nobody had parts for. I used "I think" utectec brand electrodes and arc welded the pieces together with very good results.
