    3 axis lathe spindle brake

    I run a 3 axis cnc lathe(hyundai 30m) & have never ever been told anything about the spindle brake & when to use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! I'm guessingit's best to use it when drilling holes etc with the live tooling whe n you don't require the chuck to rotate, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

    yes it is for drilling with the live tools. Index, brake, drill, Index, brake, drill, ect,ect,.
