reviving an old thread....just curious what you guys are using for the water cooling of your lasers? I picked up a J48-1W (30 watts I believe?) that came with a few accessories (marking head, stand, uc-1000, power wizard 250, winmark software and board, etc) but nothing in terms of the water cooling. I would also be curious to see your setups as I am putting together a cnc machine and decided to go laser over spindle. I have my table built and rails set. I am just looking for a power supply capable of running the laser.

Hi,
you wont need any special water as the cooling is just a cooling of the case. Just make sure that the flow rate is high enough. You will recognise it, when it gets to hot and even if the laser is really getting to hot it shuts off it self.

How did you determine that the MRF-150 was blown?
I have a t60 and it is operating very strange. It produces low laser power for a few minutes then fades out. I am working on diagnosing but this is my first synrad laser project. If you have some advice it would be much appreciated.
