Yes, but there are no canned cycles I don't think. But you can gcode it. I've seen thread milled wood boxes done on a Romaxx router.

ok, that leads me to another question. What ia a "canned" cycle?
I did see the new fangled soloutions website has the thread milling option, i think.
Bsically a g-code that does all the work for you, like G83 for peck drilling.

Contact your local Iscar representative and ask him for a thread mill CD. It will post G-code programs for about any thread and it is free.

Yes it can, I've cut a thread in plastic. The gcode was generated In mach3 - NewFangledSolutions thread milling wizard, My cutting speed was too slow (user error) but otherwise easy peasy. NB I spent 90% of my set up time triple checking Dimentions, fixture and work peice location, ect as this was my first cut - ever.
I dont know what I have made, but the swaf is shiny.
