    Drain Pre-screen

I've got a bit of this screen laying around and after spending way too long picking curled stainless chips out of the fine mesh by hand, I added this pre-screen to the drain to catch the larger chips before they make it to the fine screen.
I don't even remember where I got this stuff but I do know that I've seen it on air-filters used for transport trucks. A trip to the local service yard may net you a used filter to scavenge
It's just a little oversize on the length so that it "springs" into place.
Time will tell if it was worth the effort

The perf metal looks like a worthy addition, Mooser. I should add a piece on the extra drain I drilled on the left-hand end of the table.

On my own screen, I added a piece of coarse welded steel wire mesh under the fine fabric to support it, and that makes it a lot easier to vacuum and/or scrape chips off.
