    I keep getting a c-axis alarm

    alarm 622 c-axis engagement

It will do it every time, but if I reset two or three times it will run fine.

There are two micro switches in the c drive. If I put a shim under the one towards the rear of the machine, it runs fine, but the c-axis is off. It doesn't index the same every time.

    Help.

So I think I figured it out.

There is a piston in the drive axis mount that when presurized with air rocks the mount and then drive connecting the drive gear, and the gear on the spindle. I am thinking that the o rings are just not sealing as well as they used too.

I will replace them today and report back.

you need to do the c axis grid offset and the gear mesh contact load first then go from there.

I havent been using the live tools for a while, but i have a job running now that is using them, so I have had a chance to play around some more with this problem.

I have an air supply issue. I have plenty of air at the regulator, but there isnt enough pressure getting to the c axis to engage. I havent had an air dryer, and think that has caused this issue.

Will report back when I find the culprit.
