    SM-1 controller board ID

I have a new to me 1984 Hurco SM-1 that I am trying to get running. I printed some pictures that were posted to compare with my SM-1's BX controller. I was able to match up all of the connections that were shown in the pictures, but noticed another board in my card rack that I didn't notice in the pictures. This board is connected with a rainbow colored ribbon cable that is tagged MPU-J3. There is also a smaller gray ribbon cable that runs to a switch and a button mounted on the electrical cabinet. Just wanting to know what this board is.

I also have 2 of what i think are servo amps that were not installed in the cabinet when I got the machine. Can someone tell me if these are servo amps and if there is anything special I need to do when reinstalling them?

I took some pics that I'll try to post. Any help would be great.

    Tom Jager

The first pic is of the board that I am trying to id it's the short one with the 2 serial ports on it. The second is the tag on the ribbon cable, the third is the switch and button and the last ones are of the suspected servo amps.
