Hi,
Does anyone know the parameter for adjusting the spindle orient position on an OM-D control/Yang HMC450? I've just rebuilt the spindle so now I need to reset the position.
Thanks!

This is the instrutions that were given to me when my spindle lost orientation. My machine has an O-M controller so maybe it will help. I will give the word for word and you can decide what is relevant and my machine is the 1300:
Most of the 1300 machines used a Fanuc Ocontrol with S series drives. These machines use potentiometerson the orient board to adjust the spindle. Take a look at the spindle drive. If there is a small board with a series of pots on the
left side and three blue colored pots on the lower right then it is an S series. Use the 3 pots on the lower right to adjust the orient position. These pots establish binary position for the spindle. You must press the reset button and issuean M19 comand after changing the pot positions.
The new style machines use alpha series drives. On the machines use parameter 4077 to alter the stop.
Again these were given to me...the pot part worked on my machine...its just trial and error till you get it right.
Thanks for your reply kirby. I do (now) recall using P4077 to alter M19 in the past. I believe it was on an Oi control, though - my OM-D control doesn't even have parameters in the 4000 range!.
I did some more digging and came up with P6531 & P6577. P6531 is the spindle stop position and P6577 is the spindle shift position. In my case, P6531 was 0 and P6577 was being used, so that's the one I used. This fixed the problem for me. For each 360 degree rotation, the encoder counts 4069 units, so you can work out how much to move precisely (this is how I understood it, anyway).
Cheers!
