    Pocket Plunge Placement

I would like to make the plunge movement of a the cutter center on a predrilled hole so there is no force on the cutter when it plunges, which makes my little benchtop mill a bit happier. How do you/Where do you make make this modification in the pocketing parameters. Thank you

Create a point at the center of your hole, then goto pocket toolpath-chain-then pick your point first then your pocket.

Ok, the hole is already drilled. So the create holes for pocket creates more holes in places I dont want them to be. What I want to do is move the position of the plunge from where it starts now to a hole that is already drilled. I tried the first suggestion, but that just gives me the open pocket comment, and wont work properly.

So go in to the geo on that pocket op and and right click and add a chain. but pick the center of the hole or the point you have that you drilled.
Then move that point chain to the postion before the chain for that pocket.
If you had turned on Ramp or Helix entry turn them off.
Then regen the op and the tool should start there as a plunge point.

Thank you. That worked perfectly. It wasnt until I realized I needed to switch from adding another chain, and instead add a point. Thank you very much.
