    Question Timing Belt Design

    I am building a 5 ' by 10' gantry type router table. The X axis I am contiplating using a belt drive. I would like advice and resant pictures of belt systems, thank you doug.

    Belt drives

    Yeah, fixed belt, moving motor is many times stiffer than a recirculating belt run for the same belt material. Use steel reinforced, though. Kevlar does not like the back-bending.
