I am going to ask one more time to see if I get any responce. I have tried to reinstall the Blue Screen and it did not work. Here is a shot of what I get. Something is wrong with the probing section of the screen. Mach 3 2.56. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, James:drowning:.

What is your screen resolution? Try setting the screen to 1024 x 768.

    C10 BOB has pulled-down inputs?

My C10 BOB's input pins are already pulled low 4.7k resistors.
So the Touch Test LED is always on.

How can I get around this problem?

    Thanks for the great post.

    Hlombard,

Attach a 4.7K resistor between +5 volts and the input terminal you would like to use for the touch probe, that will push it high.

It will pull it high but only to 2.5V. Better to use a 470 ohm resistor for a 4.5V voltage on the input. Then connect one side of the probe to ground and the other to the input. When they touch, the input is shorted to ground (0V) and thus the active low triggers in Mach.

If it were my BoB I would go one better and remove the on board pulldown. Then put a 4.7k pullup on it

Not expecting you to do that but it is what I would do.

Greg's suggestion about removing the existing resistor cant hurt.

We have setup several dozen C10 boards for the touch probe just adding the 4.7K between the input and +5 volts and all have worked flawlessly.

Arturo Duncan, the CNC4PC designer has recommended using a 1k resistor to pull the input high.

4.7k sounds too high to me. However I have neither a circuit diagram or a C10 board here to check.

As I said though, I would alter the board if it were mine.

    CNC4PC C10 BOB - Pull-up resistor

    Thanks for the help.

I found the solution in the manual to the BOB on their website - very well done! Take a look their if you need help.

    They suggest a 2.2k resistor.

I also realized that my machine was not plugged into the power outlet - so it wasn't grounded ! Stupido !!

Is it possible that you can share your screen with all the scripts for us ?
I am very interested in your features to probe edge and holes.
    Best regards:

    Mach3 Blue Screenset for Mills

It looks like Artsoft did some reorganizing of their web site so the link to the Blue Screenset has changed. You can now download it from here http://www.artsoftcontrols.com/scree...Blue_setup.zip

The modifications to the screen set are here http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attach...2&d=1207685850

Refer back to post #1 for instructions for installing and using the software.

    HI to all
I have installed the screensets ans sometimes it work just fine, on some occasions when i press the z-zero the spindel moves away (upwards) from the touchplate, why would that happen. when i reset Mach3 z-zero zero`s in the correct direction.

    Regards

Care to share your screenset? I don't have a clue as to how to go about modifying one.

I would love to share. Here you go: http://www.adambrunette.com/Silver_Screen.zip

It took a few hours copying the buttons from the blue version to the silver and making it look right, But I think it was worth it. You will need to edit the scripts for the buttons to increase the federates. I've slowed them way down for use on my mill. Enjoy.
