it may be worth looking here http://cnc4free.org/
ive payed for his tutorials and found it pretty incredible what a guy can create , best of all the softwares are all free ,
when it comes to hobby use i honestly don t think a guy would need much more than the free softwares that are available

What are you looking for?
for post-processor I use mach3 which is quite cheap and does the job properly http://www.machsupport.com/artsoft/index/index.htm.
I tried the Mach3 software download to see how it works and looks like it's not an easy program to use. I have tried Kcam and it is a little easier but not as powerful. Thanks for the input. Mark
Has anyone used KCAM with the HobbyCNC EZ Driver Board Kit? I need a little guidance on how to set up the board and how to set the current adjustment for my steppers.
