I have a Centurion V control. I do not see a method for parking the machine or preparing it to power down the system prior to turning it off. Should I be doind something other than just turning the switch off?

Often it does not matter, But given the choice, I would push the E-stop, turn off the controller, if it has its own switch, and then the main Disconnect.

I used to get in the habit of homing my machine at the end of the day with the reasoning that it would be quicker to get it up and running the next day .
My sales rep /programmer guru who I really trust told me to stop this practice . He says to let it go thru the full home sequence each day .
Also , the correct procedure to shut down is to always E Stop first .
This powers down the drive boards . Then flip the big switch on the back of the control box to kill power to the fans ,vfd controller , cpu power supply .
If you think about it , this is exactly the reverse procedure of start up .
Thanks gentlemen. E stop first then power down. Got it.
