    Question Missing steps?

    Hello,
I just removed an anillam control from an lagun mill and installed the following:

    1. Viper 200 from Larken for X,Y,Z
    2. 3 USD 500 cpr encoders
    3. Bob Campbell's BOB
    4. Mach 3 software

If I set a zero, walk away an inch, and then walk back my machine is off 02" to .04". It does this on all axis and is cumulative. I have tried playing with the pulse settings and switching to a different BOB and no Luck!

Has anybody experienced this problem before?

Double checked your steps per unit values for each axis?

So when you walk away an inch, does the table move an inch (1.000") AND the DRO indicates the same inch (1.000")? Have you tried moving further in the same direction?
