Newbie trying to create tool paths for 2 axis lathe

WE have access to Mastercam X and trying to just create "any" tool path. We are bring a part in as an IGS file but lost from there. In milling, we have to create a solid from surfaces to create tool paths I think. We have a slant bed lathe and trying to use the generic fanuc slant bed post. Can someone tell me the steps needed to create the 2D profile or whatever it might take to create paths?

Look in the sample folder for lathe and see if one of those examples will help you out.
