I just got a vertical knee mill with 2-axis Anilam 3200MK CNC.

I replaced the coin battery, so now it will boot consistently. Now, however, it won't turn on the servos. "Servos off, cannot execute!", etc.

I've got one cable coming out of the very top of the driver electronics enclosure (adjacent to the power switch) that goes to a small electrical box with an open side. Two wires stick out of this, with a wire nut on the live wire.

I've noticed this wire stays low voltage until I select the Motion Setup or normal control screens, then it goes hot.

Is this a missing normally closed E-stop switch? That would explain it... but I'm afraid of trying to short this in case it's supposed to be something else.

Does anyone know?
