    size of stepper motor

    I have a Gorton 3D tracer, I want to fit stepper motor in its slides. how i come to know what power & size of motor i choose?

    If it is a working machine you can just measure or estimate the maximum force needed to turn the crank handles when machining and then multiply by the radius of the crank to get the torque.
