Hi all,
We have a Deckel Maho DMC-70V with a Franze Kessler spindle motor type: 100.AL.4.FOS whose bearings are on the way out.
We are considering rebuilding it ourselves (cost of changeover from DMG is horrendous). We therefore need to get specs for this motor such as preloading values etc. Drawings of the motor would be marvelous if anyone has them. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Yes we know these are complex beasties but have some experience in the area but not with Kessler motors.
Any advice from the collected wisdom out there would be very welcome.

i am able to deliver every spare part or service for all Kind of kessler spindles. But be carefull because every Kessler spindle is diffrent and the are wreally a lot of different
spindles in all kind of machines. Only Deckel Maho is using more then 67 ´different Kessler spindles for their machines. A Deckel Maho DMC 70 V or 100 V could be a machine with a 8000 rpm Motorspindle or a 15000 rpm or the new DMS 100.46.4. FDS spindle with 18000 rpm. Spindeldoctor repairs more then 600 Kessler Spindles per year. I will ad a list to this post, you will find different spindles in. Kessler is partner of Chiron, Hermle, Deckel Maho, Heller, Kovosvit and some more machine tool oem. They are producing more then 10.000 spindles per year. The price for a repair will be between 6.000,- € up to 16.000,- €. Our expierience allows us to repair a Kessler spindle within 5 working days.
