I replaced the 5/16-18 threaded rods with 3/8-12 ACME leadscrews and cables with 22-gauge wires with cables with 18-gauge wires and quick disconnect connectors on my 17X20 Overhead Leadscrew CNC router and found that I get 20 IPM instead of 10 IPM. I will try using my CNC router next week.

I used my CNC router to make two signs and the machine worked faster than before thanks to new 3/8-12 ACME leadscrews and I set the router speed controller at 5 (half-speed) and there's no "burning" of bit and wood. I'm not sure about solid carbide router bits made by Amana Tool. The 3/16" CNC Spiral Flute Plunge Solid Carbide bit didn't left smooth cuts and I had to sand the letters. The bottom of the bit isn't flat. Any suggestions?

The bottom doesn't need to be flat to leave flat bottom cuts. Any flexing or vibration anywhere in your machine can lead to poor cut quality. And the spindle needs to be perfectly perpendicular to the table in all directions as well.

My CNC router blew two 2.5A fuses while trying to rout two signs today. I bought some 3A fuses while coming home. Any reasons for my CNC router blowing fuses? It has Probotix PBX-RF board, three ProtoStep boards, and three 200OzIn unipolar stepper motors.

What type of fuses? Fast blow, slow blow?

What are the specs on your power supply, the impedance/draw of your motors, etc?

the probostep boards push 3 amps. Probably the 2.5 amp fuses.

2.5A fast-blow fuses already used. Bought 3A fast-blow fuses but not yet used.
