    HELP WITH PROGRAMMING QUILL TO PECK DRILL

    we have a cnc boring mill and are looking for a sample program or sub program that will enable us to peck drill using the quill or spindle instead of the "Z" axis any help would be great .

    be carefull your machine is not designed for that most boring mills are hydrolic where the quill is conserned try to peck drill with quill will cause damage. they are made to position and then lock to do their work

    We still don't know what make and model of machine he has. I know that Doosan HBM's will allow you to peck with the W axis OR the Z axis. That's why I asked.

    Sounds like the same problem we are having with a Femco 110 R with a Fanuc OM controller
