    SolidWorks plans request

Many thanks to those sharing plans and photos.

I would like to know if anyone can share their
solidworks files as many machines appear to be designed
    in SW.

Im doing an assembly which i can share in a couple of weeks
but its just a copy of the PDF plans from here.

    Thanks.

I have my design done in SW (the one listed in the downloads). The problem is where to host it. It's about 23 mb zipped. If we can get a place to host it, I'd share it.

Why don't you want to put it in the download section here?

I tried uploading the file this morning with no luck. It keeps coming up with an error. Is there a size limit for uploads? I'm on a T1 line here at work, so that shouldn't be the problem.

well I downloaded it but I guess its on a newer version of solidworks than I have (2001) as I can preview the files but if I try to open them it says "cannot open file xxx Future version"

The models were done in the 2004 version. Sorry if this has caused any inconvenience.

Could you post a picture/image of the plan set - maybe a rendering - sort of a "teaser" and lert folks see if they really wanna download it?
Gotta say at this end of the world (NZ) and on a modem there's no way - but I'm currious for when I return stateside.

Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.

I have 2005 and they are great - maybe if you can get hold of polytrans you can convert them to dxf or something. Otherwise get SW2k5 its great.

Actually if you want i could convert it and see how big it is.

I've got 2004, but seem to be running into a problem. I can down load it, but it wont come up on solidworks because of "file name is invalid, locked or incompatible. Any suggestions?

If you are using a pre-2000 version of windows (which is unlikely) sometime you can have trouble with filenames if there is spaces in them.
These uploads would be great if done with edrawings as it will save huge filesizes and be veiwable by anyone.
    Or else upload as parasolids.

I havent installed my 05 yet.
How are you people finding this compared to 04?
