    scaling printer output (Inventor 9)

I have not found a procedure to control printer output size.

I'd like to use inventor (9) to create output to burn images for etching Printed Circuit boards.

I can create the drawings but I'd like the capability to "control" the output (increase/decrease) by an amount (say by percent).

After looking through help and several books I've been unsuccessful. I doubt that I am the only person who has ever desired to do this.

    Are you printing an .IDW?
If so you shoud be able to change the scale of the view.

Select view, right click, edit view

    Per suggestion

Maybe I need a brain transplant-
Version 9 does not offer a "FILE SAVE option that includes . IDW files
It also does not offer that as a PUBLISH option

I am looking at an IPT file. (could that be a factor)

    Addenda about files IDW IPT

I learned to make drawings by starting off in "standard.ipt" file. I looked and this seems to be the reason that I cannot output to IDW as suggested.

    Is that the key issue?
If so I didn't see any easy conversion to IDW format. (Needless to say redrawing wasn't in my planning <g>)

.IDWs are basically Inventor's "paper" output.
An .IDW will allow you to produce a 2d image of the part (.ipt) you have modeled.

Under the file menu select new, select one of the canned .IDW templates
and insert a view of your part.

Change paper size, dimension, annotate, etc and your all set.

Maybe post your .Ipt and I could help more.
