    Camsoft Pro basic features

Have the basic features changed on the latest version of Camsoft Pro from previous such as Ver.15? Do you still have to go up levels to get features like roughing and simulate?

I've got Pro level 1. I don't use the CAM package at all so i can't comment there. The control part has had numerous minor improvements but its the same basic package. I'm sure I would have heard if simulate was added to level 1.

    Bob,

V15 and V16 are the same in this respect. They include both solid model and wire frame 3D simulation and basic lathe and pocket roughing canned cycles. If you're thinking of our CAD/CAM product Advanced System 3000 it does require an upgrade from Level-1 to Level-5 to get full mill/lathe roughing and a higher end solids graphic simulator than what the CNC Controller gives you. This has much more control over the simulation process such as light sources, part slicing, dimension measuring and cutter animation super imposed on imported STL files.
