    sherline cnc conversion advice

I am thinking of converting my sherline mill to a cnc machine...
So far, I have determined that I will need the sherline 6700 conversion kit and I will probably order the xylotex 4 axis kit. It comes with 269 oz/in motor or 425 oz/in motors. I plan on cutting light materials like aluminum, plastics, and wood. Is the 269 oz/in motor sufficient? I will also need to get a cnc rotorary table. I am thinking of building a wooden clock. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I just used the Sherline steppers and I can easily break milling bits with the best of them. You'll find that Sherline has a well balanced power to speed to match the actual capabilities of the machine. I have upgraded to the A2Z anti backlash lead screws and it really works well even with the Sherline 150 oz. steppers.
