    Small engraving work on X4

    Here is a quick test I did on my X4+, engraving a bit of 3mm Alumimium.

    Good work.. was that your first milling test?... what size cutter and feed speeds did you use.

    This is the first "thing" I've created. My first test parts were random squares and circles.

    This one turned out much better.

    I didn't do any calculation for speeds and feeds I just set the RPM to 3500 and had it at a conservative 1mm per sec.

    Hi John,
    It looks good! What is the diameter of the disc? My guess is about 3.5 inches?

    it's a touch bigger than 1.25 inches.
