Hey guys-
I've been poking around a lot of Fanucs lately and decided it would be a Good Thing to have one of those (pcmcia?) memory cards to backup params and such from time to time. Problem is, I don't really know what to get, how much to pay, or even a good place to buy from.

Years ago, it seems that this was a generic thing, used by laptop pcs, and readilly available at "computer shops". Now they seem to be out of style.

Any thoughts on this subject appreciated!

My casual search turned up cards in the $XXX.XX range, and I wasn't sure if they would even work.

Helps to ask someone who KNOWS!

You'll need Compact Flash cards and a PCMCIA C/F adapter. I have had good luck with SanDisk. Be gentle when inserting the adapter into the control... I've had 2 customers that needed the connector replaced due to excessive pressure when inserting the cards.

Yes Sandisk is cheap and works well here is the link for the adapter. Then just nab a compact flash card. You do not need the fancy Fanuc stuff
