Direct positions
Manage resources within his/her area of responsibility to ensure staffing and equipment levels match business activity levels;
Assign jobs according to priorities in order to maintain scheduled completion dates, utilizing the most appropriate machines and employees for efficient production;
Coach and motivate employees in the performance of their jobs and look for new ways to continually improve operations, through focused efforts and initiatives;
Work with the machine shop team to drive continuous improvement through driven measures, open team dialogue and a bias for action;
Supervises employees by checking product in all stages of production to maintain a high standard of quality and quantity in accordance with AS9100 and Company requirements;
Orients, trains and instructs all employees in the safe and efficient performance of their duties;
Promotes, maintains, and enforces safe and healthy working conditions for all employees in accordance with legislative requirements and Company standards;
Prepares daily production reports; Inputs employee attendance information into E-Time and Verifies E-Time weekly;
Ensures equipment is safe in order to produce expected quality and quantity of product.
Maintains and keeps current the Planned and Preventative Maintenance Program;
Coordinates facility maintenance; including reviewing, selecting, evaluating and communicating with contract services and other vendors to ensure services are cost effective and meet quality standards.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a department head, supervisor or leader as well as being able to work any shift.

Strong computer skills required; including manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience using Preventative Maintenance software program is preferred. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and their application would be an asset.

Written and verbal communications skills a must. College diploma or technical experience;
Experience with milling, lathes, saws and CNC machining experience; Technical machining background in a manufacturing environment;Maintenance experience strongly preferred
