Power enable [should hear a loud thump]

Turn the brightness or contrast knobs on the monitor so you can read it.

cycle start for each axis till it homes[up to six times]

    look at the pretty machine

    turn the power off

    GET A MANUAL!!!!!!!

I may have a programming manual to spare..........

Actually Heidenhain.com, 'OMA controls' and download one.

You ought to have the r2c3 manual though, they do turn up on ebay

A line across the screen usually means a defelction amp in the CRT is gone.
There is a horizontal and verticle deflection amp that bends the beam and paints the phosphors on the CRT making a display. A line means the beam is deflecting in one plane only.

THANKS, I AM AT THIS POINT JUST TRYING TO POWER IT UP AND SEE IF ALL OF THE AXIS WORK. I DID HAVE THE SPINDLE RUNNING BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO MAKE THE X Y Z MOVE WITH THE JOY STICKS . I DID TAKE THE 3 AA BATT. OUT AND CHECK TO SEE IF THEY WERE OK BUT NOW I CANT GET THE CLEAR BUTTON (CE) TO TURN ALL OF THE RED LIGHTS OFF SO I CAN POWER THE SPINDLE UP.
