Hi All,

I had this problem with my 2006 TL-1 HAAS lathe. I kept on getting alarm 123 and the spindle would then slowly slow down to a stop. I call my local HFO, and sent out a tech. He gussed that It might be a DC power supply. Of course he didnt have the part so it was shipped the next day. The tech came back out replaced the power supply. He left real quick and shortly the alarm came back. So another tech came out with two more parts and still was getting the same alarm 123. So on the fourth trip they wanted to replace the last part in the loop , it was the z spindle axis amp. That fixed the problem no more alarm 123.

I have a few questions for everyone.

The replacement part cost about 1300.00 the tech told me it was because it was a "smart amp" does it really cost this much?

Also I have the old amp is there any way to fix it and if so can anyone recommend who can fix it for a fair price?

yea the amps cost that much. i have 4 of them but i got them for free. but they sell between 1000 to 1500
