    Question Tamagawa Fa-coder

I'm working on a Mighty Comet with Mitsubishi MDS-A servos and Type HA80NT-E30 servomotors. The encoders are Fa-coder TS5170N11. I was getting a S03 servo alarm #50. It appeared a drive had went South. It was in position #2 (Y). I swapped with #3 (Z), Then Z alarmed out. I repaired the drive. I left it in Z. It wouldn't move, so I swapped it back with Y, nothing, and then swapped again. Now I have Y and Z down. I was wondering if the encoder (on Z) could be the problem and caused the known good drive to go bad. Does anyone have a pinout so I can test it? Any other suggestions? I have since repaired both drives but have not installed them yet due to the possible encoder problem.

    Thanks in advance. (Machine Down)

    Yes.

Yes, I fixed this. First and foremost had a failed servodrive. I repaired it in house. Bottom line, the shaft was broken on the Y-axis servo motor. It was a little hard to find out that was the problem. All is well. Did you get yours fixed?
