Hi!
Today I turned a thread at a new machine (controller Fanuc OT) with G76 and the machine made an underrun, although I didn’t want it.
Can it deal with parameters?
First clause: G76 P020055 Q200 R0,1
Thanks

Keyword: inertia!
Should I input it from the machine keyboard?
No, certainly not. Have you ever tried to drive into a garage with 200 things and to stop 50cm ahead of the wall from 200 at 0?
It’s similar for the machine. It also has to stop first, in that case advance the X-axis, and it makes that shortly before the end, it can be a couple of tenths.
No, it’s not a couple of tenths. It’s certainly an underrun ca. 5mm
Hello,
Then test your thread with small Vc. If the underrun stays the same, then the problem isn’t in inertia…
Kai
You can set 723ff for G76 parameter.

What is that parameter? What does it describe?
Hello!
Have you already tried M24?

I have. There’re no changes with little rotation speed, one can an underrun at the graphic.
