I'm looking for detailed information on routing foam PVC (Sintra, Versacell, etc.) to get the best results. I used to do it about 10 years ago, but at the time I was using a slow machine (1.6ipm max CNC Crafter) and a porter cable wood routerr. So no speed control on the spindle. I can remember the noise and the dust, and the clean side and fuzzy side of the cut, etc. I hope things have improved since then. I'm investigating the purchase of a new machine, Looking carefully at the Romaxx 24 x 36 WD-1 model.

I will cut 1/8", 1/4" and maybe 3/8" thick panels. I used to use 0.063" and 0.094" end mills. I can too easily remember trouble with getting end mills with long enough blades to cut all the way through the panels due to not being able to keep the material flat across the entire table.

I have searched this glass, plastic and stone forum for PVC and come up empty... I'd be happy to read and not bother anyone, but I don't know where to look.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance... Jim
