Hi,

I have a Leadwell MCV 760 XL Vertical Machining Center with a FANUC 10M control. Recently in some severe weather, we had a power surge that damaged the electronics on 2 machines. The 10M control is still not running.

There is no CRT. I have already replaced the monitor,power supply,pc board, and main pc board. I was getting a b on the main pc board before replacing it, but now I am getting an 8. I have checked the voltage to the pc board and it is at about 4.97V.

I know that the parameters and memory are lost. I have the parameters to reload them, but I am not sure what the 8. alarm means- I do not see it listed in the manual. Is there a procedure that neeeds to be followed in order to get this control to boot up?

aNY HELP WOULD BE greatly APPRECIATED.

Here are the alarm codes you've got:

Display 8.
Description: RAM check
Repair: Check power supply, Clear memory and reload parameters, Replace Master Board

Display: b.
Description: RAM check error.
Repair: Replace Master or ROM/RAM board.

Hi Together
I have the exact same problem. Changed different stuff including masterboard and so on.
Every Masterboard I try, shows Error "b", which does not make much sense to me, as these boards have been taken out from working machines..

Did you ever find a solution for this?
