    Laser won't fire

    Please help me.

I've tried to update the firmware to my laser engraving machine (MPC6515 controller) to the latest that I found in the LaserCut 5.3 pack. First update didn't work, the pad froze at "System starting", then I retried and it started.

Everything works fine except that I can't fire up the laser. Neither from software or pad. I've tried everything, even downgrading firmware to the old original one and older than that. Nothing worked?

What can it be? What are the causes? Software or mechanical?

    First check all this:
    Is the power supply working?
Cant you see the laser firing inside the tube?
Did you try to reinstall the software? ( remember the 5th reinstall is the best... ) Most of us have reinstalled it a lot of times...until it worked correctly.
    E stop working?
    and, let us know
    Luis

Yes, the power supply is working since I can move the laser and all. Unless there's a separate power supply for the laser? I don't know about that.

I don't see the laser firing up in the tube and I've reinstalled the software lots of times.

    Thank you for your reply.

I managed to make it work. I've uninstalled the LaserCut 5.3 software and reverted to the old firmware and LaserCut 5.1.

    Thank you for your help.
