fanuc spindle fuse on dc link blown

Hello out there,I have a colchester storm a50 lathe,it runs on fanuc 21it.At least
it ran up until this morning. The lights dimmed in the shop and now the spindle gives me error #7003 fuse on dc link blown. All axis still work and the chuck still opens and closes.
The power drive has error#4 on it,spidle drive#51 and axis drive #5?
The drive is on my desk and the fuses I found in it are all good?!
    Ahhhhhhhh!
Can someone out there help me Please.
    Thanks
    Claude

All the alarms are for DC Link undervoltage
Check the 3phase going to the power supply, should be round 220 volt. Measure the DC link when the contactor pulls in it should be 300vdc
If 3 phase is there, you could have a bad power supply.

    Hi,
Thank you for your reply.Did I mention that I run a rotopase?Transformer and all.
The shop is in the back yard residential rural......single phase.....
At the power supply in 220v I get 230,229,235 a bit high but if I tap out of the transformer any lower the lathe crashes when I turn on the mill.
On the dc bar I get 345v dc.As I mentioned before both axis still works, indexing and drawbar also work.
I just tried to start the spindle at 100rpm and again get the blown fuse alarm.
Looks like the spindle drive unit needs to take a trip to fanuc..#&@#%$.....
Could the culprit be the motor that is shortig out and damaged the drive?
How does one test a spindle motor?
    Thanks
Off I go to take things apart again...

    It is unfortunetly good.
Funny,as I was on the phone with fanuc just now.
They tell me its ether the power supply or the drive,Im ganna send both away
seeing as the machine is down anyway.
Still going to test the motor just in case.
    thanks.

Re: fanuc spindle fuse on dc link blown

In my case, the 2 resistors R51 and R52 on the DC buss were open. The resistors are on the main board of the Spindle Amplifier (not on the communications board).
Replace the 2 resistors at it might solve your problem. I've been searching for a solution all over the internet and couldn't find anything that worked, so now i decided that every time i solve a problem and fix something, i'll post it everywhere for anyone to see.
