    Unhappy citizen crossdrill/milling spindle help!

hello im fairly new to cnc machining and would like to know if there are any crossdrill / milling spindles for the L20/L25 that have a distance from the guide bush to the cl of the cutter of over the standard 15mm, as at the moment we are having to 2nd op about 25% of our parts, spindles with 25mm to the cl should do the job but i cant find any in our tooling catalogs.
    any help would be appreciated.

Yes there are some available. The part number depends on which model and type you have.
    Call Genevieve Swiss @ 413-562-4800 (www.genswiss.com)
    Also try Citizen themselves 201-818-0100.

thanks for the info cogsman1, i have also found another supplier http://www.floydautomatic.co.uk who source these from www.madaula.com but i will try your suggestions as well.

it seems that the prod engineers only let us shop floor types have the older catalogs to work with i found out about floyd by visiting their web site in my own time

I've had some experience with those Maudaula heads and theyre not bad for the money, however they don't always include the drive gear. Sometimes that can be a task in itself locating someone who can offer the drive gear for the spindle.

Your best bet would be to go with PCM speeder spindles. www.pcm.ch for the Citizen machines
Slightly more cost, but the reliability and build quality is worth it in the end.
