    Exclamation Some PC response Mach3,Some PC can not.

    Dear All,

    I try to install mach 3 on two PC. I found the different response of two PC.

    The first PC. (Spec. Pentium 4 , Board intel ,CPU 3 Ghz, Ram 1 GB.)

    I install mach 3 on PC and place license file and then reboot my computer again. I open mach 3 and set everything on ports and pins ,motor tuning. When I try jogging , It has the signal from parallel port. Motor can response and rotate.

    The second PC. ( Dell,Spec. Pentium 4 , Board intel ,CPU 2.8 Ghz, Ram 512 MB.)

    I install mach 3 on PC and place license file and then reboot my computer again. I open mach 3 and set everything on ports and pins ,motor tuning. ( Same as the first PC) When I try jogging , It doesn't have the signal from parallel port. Motor can not response and can not rotate.Why ? What happen ? Who can know the root cause of this problem?

    Hope for this help

    Hi boys. I'm from Armenia. My name is Artak.

    I have a problem with my motors tuning.
    Please help me to resolve this problem!

    I made my first electronics with:

    C10 Breakout Board
    3 x KL4030 Drivers
    3 x KL23H276-28-4B stepper motors
    36v, 8.8 A Power Supply
    Relay Board
    Home Limits board
    EStop ( Red ) button from Kelinginc

    When I double check all my connections I turn on the power. My system start working as well as, without any problems. But, when I configure Mach3 my motors rotating very slowly + loose steps. Other sections settings - all OK!

    How I can know about Motor Tuning setting or calculating

    Steps per.
    Velocity
    Acceleration
    Step puls and a Dir puls for each axis (X,Y,Z)

    Please help me!
    I'm sorry for my little English

    Thank's

    Smile Calculation

    Hi Artak,
    Pls close your eyes and imagine.
    Example : Here's the method of calculation.
    Step per unit
    Assumption
    1) if you use ball screw, pitch= 10 mm.
    2) Stepping motor.
    ---> 200 steps per rev.
    ---> 400 steps per rev.
    ---> 800 steps per rev.
    ---> 1600 steps per rev.
    ---> "..................."
    Pls check the stepping motor of your. Which is suitable? ( see from the spec. of motor )
    Assume: If the spec. of stepping motor shows 200 steps per rev.( rev.= revolution)
    3) That is step per unit---> 200/10 = 20
    step per unit = 20
    4) velocity = 50 ( normally I choose this)
    acceleration = 40 ( normally I choose this)
    5) item4.Don't serious. Actually, You can change the velocity from the software of Artcam.( If you use it ). Actual speed depends on the Artcam software,not Mach3.
    6) Step puls = 2 ( normally I choose this)
    Dir puls = 3 ( normally I choose this)
    I guess you use router cnc or not.

    Remark : If you use pulley and timing belt. The calculation is different from this.

    Hope this help
