    adding timer for Air blow

    Dear All,
    could any one help me to operate the air blow regularly, ex: air blow ON every 5 minutes for a time of 30 seconds and then OFF

    Do you have macroB enabled? If so then what are the M codes to shut your air on/off? Where would these M codes be located in your programs?There is an varible for timer, so I guess it could be done.

    thanks for your reply, what do you mean by MacroB? i have the M code for ON/OFF it is M51,M50, i know that the system variable #3001 is a timer, but i do not know how to use it.

    macrob is needed to set and read varibles such as the timer #3001 you found. maybe you could use a dwell.

    M51;
    G04P5000;
    M50;

    you could save this as a sub and call it with a custom M code. But it will only run once every time you call it. To have air come on every 5 minutes no matter where you are reading in your program, you would need it programmed in the ladder logic. So its not so simple.

    that what i reached also, i'm thinking to change the ladder for air blow as the one of the oil lubricant pump, it is the same.

    I think changing the ladder is the best way to do it...
