    Cool Tool Serial Number Lookup

    Are there any websites that have information, using the serial number, on older quality (B & S, Starrett, Tumico, etc.) machinist tools?

    For example, I have a much older Brown & Sharpe #1 micrometer. I'd like to find some info about the history of it. When was it first manufactured and so on.

    Any ideas?
