    carousel, turret or magazine

    hi, can someone please explain what the difference is between a turret, a carousel and a magazine.

    Carousel - something that turns around its own axis.
    Turret - a vertical projecting part.
    Magazine - a container.
    There don't seem to be any hard fixed rules in machinery, and I suspect the terms may be applied somewhat haphazardly or even interchangeably.
