    X2 Milling and engraving acrylic

A new video of my X2 mini mill making an Illuminame (an engraved piece of acrylic underlit by LEDs) for a buddy's little girl.

    Tools:
    60 degree carbide V-bit (www.drewtronics.net)
.125" TIN coated carbide 2-flute endmill

    Speeds and feeds:
    12 ipm at 400RPM (approx)
.02" depth of cut for the V-bit
    .06" for the endmill

    Engraving time:
45 minutes + another 10 minutes for the outside profile
