    G10 L2 P1 X1

    Hi Folks

This is my first post: Hello together!

    Here my question:
    G10 L2 P1 X1
This command will set the zero point to X1

    but was does
    G10 L2 P1 A1 ??

I try to rotate XY over the Z axis when my workpiece is not square to the table.

I am afraid that this is not possible and I have to recalculate all the XY coordinates by my self.

    Thanks for help,
    Duesentrieb

If you have the fourth axis enabled with a rotary table it will set the A value in G54 to 1?? Actually if you have A1. with the decimal it will set it to 1. but if you just have 1 I think it might set it to .01 or .001,..
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

    I use the axis_9axis in EMC2.

I can set the A (or B) value how I want, but nothing changes.

How can I rotate the Z axis over the X axis?

I use the A-axis to controle the 4th axis..

    To rotate the workplane in XY ... I would use G68 X0 Y0 R#

Then # would be the angle in degrees..

    Close with G69.

I am new in g-code/cnc and I am learning the basics right now.

I found the G68 command yesterday, but it seems to me, that this is a machine depended command. That mean to me it can, but it don't have to work - am I right?

    Thanks for help,

Machine dependent? .. I thought it would work with all the ISO or fanuc-based machines..
    I use G68 with fanuc-0MD en fanuc 200i machines ..
