I think it is great the racial barrier has been broken, maybe with the wrong person, but still it is good. However, looking at Obama’s stand on issues, I greatly disagree. The problem is within the Republican party, they really are falling apart. It will take time for them to get back to their roots. Once they do they can win again.
I am afraid to say I think Obama’s presidency will be a farce, worse since Carter. Hopefully history repeats itself and a failed presidency will bring about another great president like Reagan.

So Bush was better than Carter? LOL. 25yrs old and so "open minded". Bush 43 has turned out to be the biggest socialist we've ever had in the office.

There are plenty of reason why ALL politicians are bad or good. To think one party is better or worse is flawed logic.
Seems all you want to do is "argue" Republicans are better than Democrats.
As for President Obama. Time will tell. But maybe "history repeats itself and a failed presidency will bring about another great president like Reagan."

Nicely put. And if you go back to my first statement I was blaming it on the republicans for losing. They strayed from conservative stances. A lot could be trying to seperate from bush as much as possible. But they could have done that and still stayed to their values. Personally, its more about ideology, and I am conservative on a lot of issues, which is what generally pits me against dems. As far as the party affiliations, there are some great dem senators/congressmen.
