Ball screw repair with a 36 month warranty.

My name is Tony Mitchell and I am the owner of www.mitchellindustrial.com where we specialize in rebuilding ball screws. We can turn around a ball screw in 24 to 48 hours and we can also do onsite repairs as needed. All of our ball screw repair work is fully guaranteed for up to 36 months from the install date.

I can quote you over the phone if you can provide the following information:
Approximate length & diameter of your ball screw.
    Single or double nut?
    External return tubes, or internal?
What is the problem with your screw? Noisy? Loss of tolerance? Crashed? Please be specific for an accurate quote.

I can also repair the bearing journals if they are worn (grind, chrome & grind) or snapped off.

    Thank you

Have you done any Bridgeport Boss5 screws, or do you already know the details on that screw? I do not have them out, for the dimensions you ask for. But I would like to get an idea on a rebuild cost. No bad noises or crashes, or anything, just a slight backlash.....maybe not even the screw.

But do you have a general cookie cutter rebuild program?

    Thanks
    Scott

I've done lots of Bridgeport ball screws, I'm just not sure about the Boss5. I can tell you that the average Bridgeport is between $800.00 and $1200.00, but if it's just slight backlash, it will be around 5ish. Depending on our workload, delivery would be around 4 days or less.

Cookie cutter program? I'm not sure what you mean, but all rebuilds are diferent.

A Boss 5 has 18 X travel, 12 Y and 6 Z. X and Y screws are approximately 1.5" diameter. Z scre is about 2" or so and hollow for the spindle to pass through. I am in a situation similar to Scott, I have a Boss5 that has no immediate problem, just generally worn and well used. Is your stated price per screw or for the set of 3? I would like to get my ballscrews serviced some time in the future when I have the money on hand.

    Thanks
    Matt
