    Water jet cutter cutting 2mm thick SS.

    Hi all,

    Went to a marble tile factory and saw this big gantry water jet cutter in action. Surprisingly for such an expensive machine, still have backlash. I checked out the circular cut holes and definitely felt a kink there.

    Bust be a problem with the machine for it to have such noticable backlash. We have an Omax unit and it has no backlash. You can get +/- 0.003" per foot of travel if you have a good setup.
